Engulfed

The ocean doesn’t know we exist.

A figure stands on black volcanic sand, wrapped and still, as the water builds behind her. She isn’t fleeing. She isn’t surrendering. She is simply present in front of something that could take her without noticing.

Engulfed is the first painting in Lost — a five-part series about fear, scale, and the strange relief of feeling very small.
